Margate’s beloved seaside amusement park is set to celebrate a historic double anniversary with new rides and an impressive music lineup.

Dreamland Margate, one of Britain’s most iconic coastal attractions, has announced ambitious plans for its 2025 season, marking 105 years since the park first adopted its famous name and a decade since its celebrated reopening.

The historic Kent attraction, which continues a remarkable 145-year tradition of amusement parks on Margate’s seafront, will welcome visitors daily during the Easter holidays from 5-21 April before operating weekends and school holidays until its daily summer season schedule begins.

Among the most anticipated additions for 2025 is the return of the classic Log Flume attraction, last seen in the park in 2016. When it opens in early summer, the water ride will join Dreamland’s impressive lineup of family favourites including the Big Wheel, Pirate Ship, Dodgems and Rock ‘N’ Roller coaster.

The park is introducing a new pricing structure for 2025, with all-day Mega ride wristbands available for £24.99, offering unlimited access to all rides. Tiny Tots wristbands, covering certain smaller attractions, will be priced at £12.99. Individual ride tokens remain available at £3 each, with discounted bundles of 20 tokens for £40.

Technology enthusiasts will be drawn to the Roller Room, where a series of new Free Roam VR Games will debut at the park. Priced at £15 per person (minimum two people), these immersive experiences can be booked in advance via Dreamland’s website.

The venue’s popular retro Roller Disco and arcade will continue to entertain visitors, alongside refreshment options provided by street food specialists KERB in collaboration with LevyUK & Ireland. Throughout the season, free screenings of family films and vintage cartoons will be shown on the giant Scenic Stage Screen.

Music fans have particular reason to celebrate, as Dreamland cements its reputation as one of the UK’s premier outdoor music venues with an impressive lineup of headliners. The 2025 roster includes Pendulum Live, Squeeze, Basement Jaxx, Supergrass, The Libertines, Texas, Roger Daltrey, and The Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter. Returning favourites include Sir Tom Jones, Madness, Olly Murs and McFly.

Eddie Kemsley, CEO of Dreamland, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season: “What a jam packed season we’ve got planned for 2025 – which is only fitting for our 105th Birthday and 10yr anniversary of reopening! We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to enjoy the season with us, from incredible music events to traditional seaside fun with rides, food, ice cream and seagulls – it’s going to be great!”

The announcement comes as British seaside resorts continue to experience a revival, with visitors increasingly appreciating the nostalgic charm and modern entertainment offered by historic coastal attractions like Dreamland.

Dreamland’s enduring popularity represents a remarkable turnaround story for the park, which faced closure several times before its 2015 reopening following a community campaign and significant investment. The venue has since become a key driver in Margate’s cultural renaissance, complementing the town’s thriving art scene anchored by Turner Contemporary.
