Looking for the perfect Mother’s Day treat this March? Blenheim Palace is offering visitors a range of special experiences to celebrate mums and mother figures on Sunday, March 30th.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site has created a range of dining options specifically for the occasion, with The Orangery Restaurant featuring special Mother’s Day menus throughout the day. Morning visitors can enjoy brunch selections including a Full Breakfast, Eggs Benedict, Avocado on Sourdough, or Glazed Brioche French Toast.
For those preferring a later celebration, a limited-time Mother’s Day lunch menu showcases seasonal dishes prepared with ingredients harvested from the Estate’s own Walled Garden. A traditional Afternoon Tea is also available, featuring finger sandwiches, scones, cakes, and pastries with a selection of teas. Visitors can upgrade the experience to include champagne for an extra-special treat.
Beyond dining, the palace offers numerous ways to spend quality time together. Visitors can explore the magnificent State Rooms and exhibitions that highlight the rich 300-year history of this stately home, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
With spring arriving, the Formal Gardens provide an ideal setting for a gentle stroll, featuring Water Terraces, a Rose Garden, and the Italian Garden beginning to show signs of seasonal color. More adventurous visitors might venture into the 2,000-acre parkland, designed by the famous landscape architect ‘Capability’ Brown, which offers various walking routes from easy paths around the formal areas to longer trails through the wider estate.
Before departing, visitors can browse the Palace Shop for distinctive souvenirs and locally produced items, including Blenheim Palace Signature Gin, Blenheim Honey, and various preserves made with estate ingredients.
Access to all Mother’s Day activities is included with a valid Day or Annual Pass to Blenheim Palace. However, dining reservations are strongly recommended to avoid disappointment, particularly for the special Mother’s Day menus.
Located in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, Blenheim Palace is approximately 20 minutes from Oxford and 90 minutes from London, making it an accessible day trip destination for a memorable Mother’s Day celebration.
