BMW enthusiasts from across the country will converge on the British Motor Museum in Gaydon next month for what organizers are calling the UK’s largest BMW meet.
The fourth annual “Ultimate BMW Meet” will take place on Sunday, April 27, bringing together fans of both classic and contemporary models from the German luxury automaker. Last year’s event attracted more than 1,000 BMW vehicles, ranging from vintage classics to rare, limited-edition models.
This year’s gathering will feature a special celebration marking the 60th anniversary of Alpina, the renowned BMW tuning company. The commemoration comes at a significant moment in BMW’s history following the company’s recent acquisition of the Alpina brand.
“This milestone anniversary adds an extra dimension to this year’s event,” said automotive historian Jonathan Phillips. “Alpina has played such an important role in BMW’s performance legacy, and many enthusiasts are curious to see how BMW integrates the brand going forward.”
Visitors to the event will not only have the opportunity to view the extensive collection of privately-owned BMWs but can also explore the museum’s permanent collection of over 400 historic British vehicles. Among the exhibits is a 1928 BMW Dixi, which was gifted to the Rover Group in 1994 to commemorate their partnership with the German manufacturer.
“Come and join us for a fantastic day celebrating BMW’s heritage, community and performance,” said Tom Caren, Show Manager at the British Motor Museum. “Whether you’re a die-hard buff or just admire the badge, this meet promises to be an unforgettable day of BMW appreciation.”
More than 30 car clubs are expected to participate in the event, showcasing vehicles spanning BMW’s extensive manufacturing history. The meet has grown significantly since its inception, becoming a key date in the calendar for BMW owners and enthusiasts across the UK.
The museum notes that while annual pass holders typically enjoy free entry, April 27 falls under one of up to five “Annual Pass Exempt Days” per year. Members and Premium Members can attend free of charge, but standard annual passes and promotional vouchers will not be valid for this special event.
Advance tickets are available at £17 for adults, £9 for children, £15 for concessions, and £46 for a family of four. A family of five ticket is priced at £52.
The British Motor Museum, located in Warwickshire, houses the world’s largest collection of historic British cars and has become a popular venue for manufacturer-specific gatherings and classic car events throughout the year.
